Equine College Courses

Are you passionate about horses and want a career working with them?

Achieve your career ambitions with our college level equine courses while developing your horse riding skills and taking part in competitions.

As an equestrian college with a recently refurbished indoor and an outdoor arena for show jumping and dressage, Riseholme has fantastic equestrian facilities.

Specialist tutors and instructors

You’ll receive great support throughout your studies from our professional tutors and instructors, many of whom are still active in the equine industry.

Riding and competition

You’ll regularly take part in yard duties and as a Riseholme student you can also join our riding club. By joining, you’ll benefit from undertaking extra riding hours or have the opportunity to ride if you’re on a non-riding course.

Our best riders can join our prestigious Equine Academy, which provides expert coaching to support their high-level competition performance.

Excellent range of courses

From Level 1, 2 and 3, our courses and apprenticeships cover a wide range of equine studies, including: Equine behaviour, equine management, equine science, horse welfare, grooming, horse care, horse riding, rehabilitation and teaching.

We also offer an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Equine to prepare students aged 19+ for degree level study.

Theory and practice

During your studies, you’ll benefit from classroom-based study and practical experience. You’ll also gain valuable experience working on the equine events we host at Riseholme, such as the Lincolnshire Horse Trials, as well as from work placements.

So, if you want to learn at an equine college that is both friendly and highly respected, take a look at what we offer!
