Rachel Horne

Rachel has a growing passion for gardening and flowers, and she hopes to eventually start her own gardening business. She chose Riseholme after finding the course online and was attracted to its practical, part time approach, which fits around her work. 

“I’ve found myself in the garden more this year. I love flowers and I’ve always wanted to be a florist. I thought gardening is great, so my plan is to eventually get my own gardening business, that’s the end goal.”
 

Rachel is enjoying learning in the beautiful surroundings of Riseholme Park, including its gardens and plant potting shed, while spending more time outdoors.
 

“It’s something to get me outdoors, and it’s good for my wellbeing. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.”
 

Rachel would recommend Riseholme as a great place to study horticulture, with its practical approach, welcoming environment and beautiful surroundings.
