Jack Webster Eyles

Jack is currently studying Level 2 Land-Based Engineering and plans to progress onto a T Level in Agriculture next year, specialising in Land Management and Production (Crop and Plant Production).

Jack came to an Open Event and spoke to the teachers about the course and he knew from that moment that Riseholme was where he wanted to study. During the Open Event, he attended an accommodation tour where he became excited to fully emerge himself into student life at Riseholme College. He felt that studying on campus would be a great way to focus on his studies. He now lives on campus and finds the experience peaceful and quiet and has stated that he has made friends for life.

Jack highlighted that there are always activities and trips to attend as a residential student. He has been having a ball at the Riseholme and Bishop Burton parties, with regular fun activities on campus and trips into the city of Lincoln to explore, there is always something to do! He described living on campus as tidy, quiet and peaceful.

"The accommodation was why I chose to study at Riseholme. it is easy access to studying and everyone is so welcoming and friendly."
Living on campus has allowed Jack to fully enjoy both student life and his studies.

"I was fascinated with engines and all the components and how it makes everything work."
This passion has driven Jack’s interest in the course and his future career in agriculture.

"Having a lecturer with loads of experience, stories to tell and skills to pass on makes the course all the more enjoyable"
Jack values the industry knowledge his lecturers bring, helping make lessons engaging and relevant.

"I have been on a trip to East kirkby museum to learn about old engines, components, how engineering has changed over time and new modern arrivals in agriculture at the midlands machinery. These trips have been enjoyable and good learning opportunities within my studies."
Trips and experiences have supported his learning and given him insight into both historical and modern engineering.

Outside of lessons, Jack enjoys the friendly and supportive environment on campus. He also appreciates the calm, quiet setting and the views from his accommodation, especially the sunsets.

‘’ I have made so many life-long friends.’’
