"It's been good. Your tutors are very supportive and I've learnt a lot from them. The facilities and working environment have been great, they're really good for learning."
When asked why he chose an apprenticeship, Harvey explained that earning while learning and gaining practical experience were the biggest attractions.
"You get paid whilst you learn. I prefer the hands-on learning experience, so it's worked really well for me."
Harvey didn’t hesitate to recommend an Apprenticeship at Riseholme College.
"I'd definitely recommend an apprenticeship. It's well worth it, you get experience whilst getting paid."
Harvey's journey demonstrates how an apprenticeship can provide the skills, confidence and experience needed to progress in the land-based engineering industry.
