The main reason why I choose this course is that I want to become a teacher in a primary school, so it will give me the skills and knowledge to be able to progress into higher education and complete my degree to become a qualified teacher.

I came to Riseholme College as it offered me the best course I needed to be able to become a teacher. It also was close to me meaning I could get a bus and not have to move away from my family.

The main difference from school to college is that at college you are treated like an adult, you are given the freedom and resources to do your work without being in the classroom all the time.

Also, there isn’t as much pressure in college on yourself as you don’t have multiple subjects to learn and revise. You just get to focus on the subject you are most interested in, which makes it a lot more enjoyable.

My favourite part of the course is learning and understanding the different children’s developmental milestones and ways to help children develop. I am also looking forward to learning about children who have learning difficulties and how to help them.

By taking this course I hope for it to allow me to get into university to complete a degree that will help me further develop my understanding of children.

My favourite thing about being on campus is being able to see my friends, work independently but also having the support there for when I need it. Also, having a stimulating environment is more motivating

I get the free bus and it is always on time for dropping us off and collecting us. The bus drivers are always polite and make sure we get to and from college safely.
