Sophie Maxey

Sophie studied Level 2 Equine Care before moving on to Level 3 Equine Management. She said “It feels like home, the staff are amazing. It was the best decision I ever made.”

Sophie first visited Riseholme College at an open event and she knew from the moment she stepped into the Equine Centre that this was the place she wanted to be. She followed this up with a taster day, which was a brilliant way to immerse herself into college life. Sophie completed a placement experience whilst on the case which she thought was valuable in supporting her to get a role within the equine industry. Sophie now works at Riseholme College as a Yard Assistant and gets to build a strong bond with the horses and students.
