Oly Jackson

Oly is currently studying on our Level 3 Health and Social Care course, with a clear goal in mind to become a paramedic.

When Oly was asked Why did you choose Riseholme?, Oly expressed that he was drawn to the peaceful surroundings, convenience of the location, and the relaxed atmosphere of the campus.

Oly has big ambitions and sees this course as the first step towards university and his future career in emergency healthcare.

"My course is 3 days a week, I work as a ground worker on my days off." The part-time schedule of the course gives Oly the flexibility to work and gain work experience alongside his studies.

He enjoys the independence and freedom that comes with college life at Riseholme, finding time to manage his studies well.

When asked What’s the best thing about being a student at Riseholme?, Oly said, ‘’The college is local to me, it has a free bus service, and I have made lots of new friends! Now that we have a McDonalds, Starbucks and Subway locally too helps! I now have my own car, so the free car park on campus is a bonus."
