Harry Kirk

Harry studied Sport at Riseholme College for two years before choosing to pursue the HNC Qualification (Higher National Certificate). He finds the course particularly interesting, as it covers a broad range of topics such as anatomy and physiology, sports business, and the connections to coaching, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the field.

Recently, Harry had the opportunity to lead practical coaching sessions, where he coached fellow sports students at Riseholme. This hands-on experience has given him valuable insight into coaching at this level.

Although Harry hasn’t decided on a specific career path yet, he is confident that this qualification will open many doors. After completing the one-year course, he plans to attend university, either in the UK or abroad.

Harry appreciates that the course includes practical elements that make learning enjoyable. He also values the support provided by tutors with assignments and coursework. When it comes to coaching, students can choose a sport to focus on, and Harry has chosen football, his true passion. However, the course offers flexibility, allowing students to explore coaching in a variety of sports. He’s also enjoyed coaching sessions in the gym, where he’s learned about conditioning.
