CAHMS

CAMHS stands for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. We provide support and treatment for children, young people and their families who are experiencing mental health difficulties. We support children and young people aged up to 18 years (25 years if they have been a child in care and it is agreed that we are the best service to meet their needs) who are experiencing psychological distress and need support with their
mental health.

How can I help my child :: Lincolnshire Young Minds

Unfortunately, children and young people don’t come with a manual and it is often hard to know what course of action is best when your child’s behaviour changes and you start to worry about them.

Don’t blame yourself. It can be very difficult to deal with stressful situations. Hopefully this guide will help you start of think of ways you can help.

If you don't find what you need on this page, please take a look at our Self Help page for children and young people for advice on specific issues and general wellbeing Self Help :: Lincolnshire Young Minds

Lincolnshire Family Hubs Programme

Hosted by the Department for Education and Department for Health and Social Care, the programme aims to make a positive difference to families by providing high-quality, joined-up support services from pregnancy, through a child’s early years and up until they are 19 (or 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities).

The Family Hubs programme is not about new buildings, but about adapting how and where information, advice and help are delivered to ensure families get the right support, at the right time, in the right place. There is clear evidence that identifying risks early and preventing problems from escalating brings better long-term outcomes for children and their families.

Parents and Autistic Children Together

Parents and Autistic Children Together (PAACT) provides whole family support through training programmes, conferences, workshops, activities, and support group meetings.

We also have a parent-led closed Facebook page where the advice you get is from other parents who have or are in a similar situation to you and is a great form of support.
