Animal Management

Animal Management students at Riseholme College work with a wide range of species, including primates, meerkats and reptiles, as well as livestock from the college farm.

Studies are enhanced by regular guest speakers and trips and students benefit from work experiennce placements with the college's industry partners, which help them secure work at the end of their course. 

Students are required to provide their own overalls and lab coat, as well as steel toe-capped footwear.

Animal Management

The college’s Animal Management Units house one of the most diverse selections of species in the country, offering students the chance to develop a wide range of skills.

With increasing public awareness of animal welfare issues, the need for well-trained and qualified staff within the diverse animal care industry has never been greater and there are fantastic opportunities for being self-employed, for the entrepreneurs among you.

Within the commercial dog grooming parlour, pampered pooches are treated to a full make-over by students who develop their grooming skills, and gain first-hand experience in customer care and business practice.
