Public Services remains an increasingly popular course choice at Riseholme helping to meet a rising demand across the country for more Uniformed Public Services

Have you ever thought about becoming a Paramedic? Joining the Police or Armed Forces, or becoming a Firefighter?

Here at Riseholme College we offer fantastic courses in Public Services, covering a range of disciplines, preparing our students to work in Uniformed Public Services.

Public Services remains an increasingly popular course choice at Riseholme helping to meet a rising demand across the country for more Uniformed Public Services. This is why we have built strong working relationships with local services, ensuring our students gain the best practical work experience before progressing.

This year our Public Services students have been working closely with the Lincolnshire Youth Commissioning Group. Other key forces which students have the opportunity to learn from include the Army and RAF. This essential industry specific experience prepares each student to progress onto higher education, or ensure they are prepared to go straight into employment.

Nicolle Mitchell, Curriculum Area Manager for Public Services at Riseholme College said:

“We offer a range of courses where you will have access to subject specialist tutors, exploring topics such as Responding to Emergency Incidents, current media and its impact on society and Fitness Training. With excellent links to local employers, fantastic work placement opportunities and an enrichment programme that is second to none, we pride ourselves on equipping you with the skills, experience and knowledge that will enable you to develop a career in the fire service, police, prison service or armed forces, to name just a few.”
