As a Centre for Vocational Excellence in Agriculture, students have access to fantastic agricultural facilities in the locality, made available through partnership arrangements with local employers.
Riseholme College benefits from a well-equipped machinery workshop, a welding shop and wide range of modern tractors and farm machinery.
Our Agriculture Centre boasts large scale arable farming enterprises including cereals, oilseeds, pulse and root crops. We also have grazing livestock enterprises including beef, sheep and dairy production and commercial pig and poultry enterprises.
The Centre for Agricultural Innovation at Bishop Burton College, in partnership with NFU Mutual, aims to offer solutions to some of the challenges facing agriculture through a combination of land based research, practical experience and its engagement with industry partners.
As well as a variety of research projects ran with Bishop Burton and Riseholme students, the Centre for Agricultural Innovation also coordinates a range of professional training courses, including the Farm Management Development Programme ran here at Riseholme.
