Common Questions

How much does it cost to study at college?

If you are a UK or EU student aged 18 years or under on the 31st August of the year you start the course, there are no tuition fees to pay.

If you are a UK or EU student aged 19 years or over on the 31st August of the year you start the course, you may have fees to pay. However, if you are 19 or over you may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the costs of your tuition fees. Visit our Further Education Financial Support page for more information.

Please note, if you are applying for your first level 3 course (including Access to Higher Education) and you are aged between 19 and 23, then your course is FREE, so you don’t need a loan!

Students in receipt of benefits should contact Student Services.

There are additional costs that all students will need to consider, such as our Campus Fee and the cost of necessary equipment and clothing. This varies from course to course, please ask the staff at an Open Event for more details.
