Food Taster Day

From field to fork, join us for an array of food activities and find out if a career within the food sector is for you.

Come and take part in interactive workshops based around food science and technology, catering and professional cookery, nutrition and health, plus food and drink engineering.

There is an abundance of National and International careers opportunities available in the food industry, public health or hospitality and catering.

Please note that pre-booking is essential for Taster Days. To book your place on this taster day, make a note of the date and complete our online booking form

What to Expect

During this Taster Day, students will have the opportunity to meet staff and discuss further details about their studies. Activities may include sample lectures, practical activities, seminars, workshops and a basic skills assessment.

On arrival: Report to the main reception

10.00am: Welcome to Riseholme College

10.15 - 11.00am: Tour of College campus

11.00 - 12.15am: 'Hands-on' practical session

12.15 - 12.45pm: Careers / Employment opportunities

12.45 - 1.15pm: Lunch

1.15 - 2.30pm: ‘Hands on’ practical session

2.30 - 3.00pm: Questions and answers

A full colour Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to every pupil who successfully completes a Riseholme College Taster Day.
