The Course

This is a practical programme with an emphasis on working with horses to allow you to gain the skills required to work in the equine industry. As part of the course, you will also develop your basic knowledge and understanding of horse care and what it entails. This is a non-riding course.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, though a genuine interest in the subject is essential.

Having spent her career so far looking after people in the health sector, mature student Ria returned to education at Riseholme to retrain and purse her passion for helping animals.

She is combining her studies with her current job as a hospital nurse, so that she can eventually launch a new career as a vet nurse, working with horses.
