The Programme

This course is aimed at those wishing to pursue careers within the ecology sector. Students will explore the issues faced by habitats and species and put forward innovative, forward thinking, evidence-based solutions.  Development of a broad understanding of the legislation surrounding species and habitats and practical survey skills are central themes to the course.

Application for the full-time course is through UCAS using code C1F8 and campus code R. Application to the part-time programme is through our online application form.

Applications for the year you wish to study open in September the year before. Whilst UCAS advertise a January deadline, we continue to accept applications through to the September you wish to start with us, provided we have spaces available.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have 80 UCAS points at A-Level or a Level 3 Extended Diploma or equivalent. They must also have GCSE English at grade 4 or C or above, or an equivalent qualification.

Life experience of mature students will be taken into account when considering applications. The successful completion of an entry task may be required when considering applications without the required formal entry qualifications.

All applicants need an appropriate academic / employment reference.

If your first language is not English, or you require a Tier 4 student visa to study and do not hold GCSE grade C English or equivalent, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level such as International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 6.0 overall (with a minimum 5.5 in each skill).
