If you know what you want to do and can't wait to get into the workplace, then an apprenticeship may be the perfect solution for you.
An apprenticeship would allow you to gain real skills whilst working and being paid a wage.
You would study and be assessed for your practical skills in the workplace, then study for your technical certificates at Riseholme one day per week.

Students are required to have an apprenticeship role with a business to undertake an apprenticeship. To undertake an apprenticeship, you can:

- Source an apprenticeship with a local company and then apply via our application form to express an interest in studying with us to complete it
- Apply for a particular apprenticeship via our application form and if we hear of a relevant vacancy then we can point you in the right direction.

Apprentice Landscape Operative
West Lindsey Landscapes Ltd, Newton On Trent, Lincoln
Salary: National Minimum Wage
Working Week: Monday - Friday; 7.00 am - 4.00 pm. 1 hour break Total hours per week: 40.00
Closing Date: 31st January 2021
The successful apprentice applicant will undertake landscaping duties under supervision on various commercial contracts to include: topsoil preparation, turfing, seeding, planting and mulching.

Staff will be involved with all aspects of work relating to the production of container, field grown trees and forestry seedlings. This will include; propagation, watering, feeding, potting, stock movement, plant handling, cane and tie, pest and disease control and pruning. Resulting in the growth of high quality products for our customers.
